Preparing for the ARRT Exams

By its very nature, radiation therapy is a delicate science. Using potentially harmful radiation to treat disease requires great care and precision, which is why certification is such a thorough process. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requires a four-hour, 200-question exam before you can receive the primary certification in radiation therapy.

The exam covers a wide range of topics, and requires mastery of each of them in order to pass. The academic topics of human anatomy and physiology, the effects of radiation on the body, and radiation physics are just the beginning. You also need to know radiation safety, how to plan radiation treatments, how to administer these to the patient, and how to care for and manage patients.

Given this mountain of knowledge you need to have down in order to get your certification, we at HEALS Review have designed test-prep resources to help you get ready for your certification exam. We have several options for you, including a radiation therapy-specific workbook and review software. Our workbook contains over 1,500 fully referenced questions modeled after the official ARRT exam.

All of these questions are fully-referenced, so that you learn the reasoning behind every answer on the test. With so much to know, you don't want anybody but the best helping you prepare. With our convenient and easy-to-use materials, you'll be confident and be well on your way to a rewarding career in radiation therapy.
